Common questions

How does MicGuard work?

MicGuard monitors your default audio input device. When it changes (e.g., AirPods connect and hijack it), MicGuard automatically switches back to the highest-priority device from your list that is currently connected.

Does MicGuard access my microphone?

No. MicGuard only reads the list of audio devices and changes the default input device setting. It never records or processes any audio.

Why isn't my device showing up?

MicGuard shows devices that are currently connected and have audio input capability. If a device is disconnected or doesn't have a microphone, it won't appear in the available list.
